Un « couple traqué »
Charlotte a tué d’un coup de feu son ancien employeur et amant, alors qu’elle voulait lui extorquer de l’argent pour aider un groupe d’anarchistes. Elle fuit Paris avec son ami Jef (Joseph Mittel) et gagne Dieppe. Là, ils se font accepter sur le « Croix-de-Vie », dont le capitaine, Mopps, vieux contrebandier resté très vert, devient vite l’amant de Charlotte, tandis que Mittel est relégué à la chauffe…

Charlotte shot to death her former employer and lover, as she was trying to extort money from him to help a group of anarchists. She flees Paris with her friend Jef (Joseph Mittel) and arrives in Dieppe. There they find shelter on the “Croix-de-Vie“, whose captain, Mopps, an old smuggler still very green, quickly becomes Charlotte’s lover, while Mittel is relegated to the boiler room…
